Punjab government provides free land to 30,000 families for farming

Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif met with a delegation of farmers to discuss the initiative. Farmers will receive 50,000 rupees per acre to cover the costs of sowing and preparing the soil.
A team of young agricultural interns will offer technical advice and help farmers solve problems during the growing cycle. The project seeks to boost wheat yields, improve food security, and open new export avenues for value-added agricultural goods.

Authorities have allocated 1.5 billion rupees specifically for the wheat crop to ease the financial strain of high-interest loans on growers. Funds are distributed through a digital Kisan Card system before each season, allowing farmers to buy seeds, medicines, and fertiliser at their convenience.
