Kathleen Kennedy to lead ceremonies and content for 2028 Los Angeles Olympics

Kathleen Kennedy will serve as the head of ceremonies and content for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Kennedy takes over the position from Peter Rice, who was recently appointed as the chief content officer for Netflix.
Rice, who succeeded Bela Bajaria at the streaming service, will continue to work with the LA28 Games as an executive producer. Rice stated, "When the stars align to focus the world’s attention on Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, I can’t think of anyone better to conjure the magic of Hollywood than Kathleen."
Kennedy is scheduled to depart her role at Lucasfilm at the conclusion of 2025. She spent 14 years as the president of Lucasfilm.
Her production credits include the upcoming "Star Wars: Starfighter" featuring Ryan Gosling and last summer's "The Mandalorian and Grogu".
