Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti paid rich tribute to Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal on the national thinker's birth anniversary on November 8. In a special message, Bugti stated that Iqbal’s philosophy of selfhood, self-confidence, and purposeful action continues to serve as a guiding light for the nation, especially for the younger generation.

The Chief Minister noted that Iqbal used his poetry and intellectual vision to awaken a spirit of dignity, unity, and national consciousness among the Muslims of the subcontinent. Bugti said these ideas provided the intellectual foundation for an independent homeland and gave Muslims a renewed sense of culture, identity, and collective destiny.

Bugti described the philosophy of Khudi (selfhood) as a practical lesson in recognizing potential and building self-confidence rather than just a theoretical concept. He stated that Iqbal’s message encourages people to move forward with hope and hard work instead of despair.

Regarding modern challenges, the Chief Minister said Pakistan must draw guidance from Iqbal’s vision to strengthen national unity and achieve prosperity. He stressed that it is the need of the hour to introduce the younger generation to Iqbal’s messages of research, knowledge, and self-reliance.

“Today’s youth are the architects of Pakistan’s future, and equipping them with education, skills and a strong moral foundation is essential for national development,” Bugti said.

The Chief Minister highlighted the talent within the youth of Balochistan, stating that the provincial government is working to provide them with quality education and equal opportunities. He concluded by calling for collective efforts to preserve Iqbal’s legacy to create a more enlightened and united society.
