The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has rescheduled the Computer Science papers for the Intermediate Second Annual Examinations 2026 in the Jhelum district. The examinations, originally set for November 10, will now take place on Monday, November 30.

The decision was made following a request from the Jhelum deputy commissioner. According to a letter obtained by Dawn, the deputy commissioner informed the BISE Rawalpindi chairman that the district administration would be deploying administrative and security personnel for an expected visit by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to Jhelum and Pind Dadan Khan on November 10.

The official stated in the letter that these arrangements could affect the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the examinations. The letter requested that the papers be moved to another date to avoid any inconvenience to students and to ensure the smooth conduct of both the examination and the VVIP visit. The letter stated: “In this regard, due to the consequent deployment of administrative and security personnel, it is not feasible to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the said examination in the district. It is, therefore, requested that the examination be postponed and rescheduled for another suitable date to avoid any inconvenience to students and ensure the smooth conduct of both the examination and the VVIP visit.”

BISE Rawalpindi accepted the request and rescheduled the Computer Science examinations for both morning and evening groups in Jhelum. Board spokesperson Arslan Cheema confirmed that Controller of Examinations Mubashir Saeed issued a notification announcing the revised schedule.

The postponement applies only to examination centers in Jhelum district. Students appearing at centers in other districts under BISE Rawalpindi will take their Computer Science papers on November 10 as originally scheduled. In Jhelum, the morning group’s paper will take place during the morning session on November 30, while the evening group’s examination will be held during the evening session at the previously assigned centers.
