Murtaza Wahab inaugurates water pumping station in Gadap Town

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab inaugurated the Saulah Muhammad Water Pumping Station in Gadap Town. The chlorination centre at the station is now operational, according to Wahab.
This project may improve the water supply to housing societies and residential areas situated along Memon Goth Road. Residents of Gulshan-e-Hadeed have struggled with water shortages since Pakistan Steel Mills ceased supplying water to that district, Wahab said.
A new pipeline with a capacity of 10 million gallons of water per day was laid to boost availability in Lyari. Another pipeline was installed by the city along the Lyari Expressway.
Wahab stated that authorities are taking steps to stop water theft. Work continues to upgrade Memon Goth Road, while the reopened Spencer Eye Hospital treats about 300 patients every day.
