Justice Yahya Afridi meets Balochistan bar delegation at Federal Judicial Academy
Justice Yahya Afridi met with a 51-member delegation from the Balochistan bars on Tuesday. The delegates, nominated by the Balochistan Bar Council, are currently attending a Continuing Legal Education programme at the Federal Judicial Academy.
Representatives from across the province joined the group, including members from associations in Quetta, Kalat, Turbat, Pishin, and Sohbatpur. Afridi stated that the continued functioning of courts and delivery of justice under challenging circumstances reflects the strength and commitment of judicial institutions.
The Supreme Court reaffirmed its commitment to technology-enabled justice and building capacity for the bar. Under the Access to Justice Development Fund, judicial complexes and Bar Rooms across Pakistan received solarisation, internet-connected e-libraries, clean drinking water, and women-centric facilities.
Technical issues have prevented work from being completed at six judicial complexes. The government reduced the petrol price by Rs3.19 while increasing the diesel price by Rs2.25 per litre.
