Pakistan faces winter gas loadshedding under proposed eight-hour daily supply limit

Domestic consumers in Pakistan may experience gas loadshedding during the upcoming winter season. A proposed supply schedule limits the availability of gas to eight hours within every 24-hour period.
The Ministry of Petroleum has finished its work regarding the winter gas supply and will soon submit the matter to the prime minister. Under the suggested plan, households will receive gas during breakfast, afternoon, and dinner hours.
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company will release their own separate schedules for the distribution. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited currently provides 487 million cubic feet of gas to domestic users every day.
Sui Southern Gas Company supplies 286 million cubic feet daily to the domestic market. No official announcement has been made yet regarding the final approval or the implementation of this proposed schedule.
