Tencent has upgraded WorkRally, its AI content-creation platform, by adding three video models and expanding its capabilities for everyday creators. According to reports in Science and Technology Daily on November 6 and Shanghai Securities News on November 7, the platform now supports live-action short dramas, advertising, and other creative video content in addition to animated short dramas. The reports describe the upgrade as recent but do not provide an exact release date.

The three new models include Rally-Video, a generation model for film and animation that can use images, video, and untextured 3D models as references. Rally-Video-edit-2.0 is an editing model designed to change specific elements of a clip, such as a character or background, while maintaining the original duration, resolution, and quality of the rest of the footage. The third model, UpScale-rally, is a super-resolution tool for enhancing details in scenes and people, offering speed and resolution modes with 2K and 4K output support.

The WorkRally product team states that the processing time for these models is 80% shorter than the previous version, though this figure comes from Tencent and has not been independently tested. Creators can select these models within existing workflows based on their specific tasks and budgets.

The upgrade also moves the agent-based creation entry point to the home page and strengthens the agent and a dedicated knowledge base. New features include AI script generation, script diagnostics, and smart editing. Science and Technology Daily also reported the addition of one-click asset replacement and a new copyright-registration feature for AI-created assets.

A WorkRally product lead stated that Tencent Video has converted years of production experience into knowledge bases, skills, and vertical models that creators can access directly. These models address technical questions such as camera movement, lighting, and shot sequencing. The lead said the goal is to reduce trial and error and rework so that creators can focus on the story.

A professional edition for production companies, film crews, and animation studios remains invitation-only. This version covers visual effects, CG asset production, scene compositing, concept design, and previsualization. The reports did not disclose pricing for the new models.
