Taiwanese technology company imCore Corp. introduced Core Studio, an AI filmmaking platform, during the Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) in Taipei on Saturday. The platform is designed to manage the entire production cycle, including script development, storyboarding, image generation, editing, and color grading.
Developed by a Taiwanese team with backgrounds in visual effects and animation, Core Studio utilizes an in-house image-generation model as well as external generative AI models. The platform is structured to follow standard filmmaking workflows, allowing creators to manage multiple production stages in a single location rather than switching between different tools.
Charles Lee, founder and CEO of imCore Corp. and TWR Entertainment, stated that the team recognizes professional creators require a comprehensive solution that integrates into production workflows rather than just image-generation tools. He noted that Core Studio was developed around the needs of frontline film professionals to transform years of production expertise into an AI-powered platform providing comprehensive creative support.
The platform features more than 24 specialized AI agents that function as a virtual production crew. These agents handle tasks such as story development, asset generation, visual effects, editing, and color grading to reduce technical hurdles for AI-assisted filmmaking. For pre-production, the Story Atlas tool breaks down imported scripts into scenes, shots, and storyboards while establishing consistent character designs, costumes, props, and voice profiles.
Every output generated by the AI includes a record of the models, prompts, parameters, costs, and human review results, which imCore says allows teams to track creative decisions and budgets. The platform also features Real Engine, which combines Real Video, Real HDR, and Real Revive to sharpen details, increase color depth from 8-bit to 16-bit, and repair blown-out highlights. A cloud workspace with version control and real-time communication is included for international collaboration.
