AgiBot has released a refreshed version of its Lingxi X2 humanoid robot, designed for use in retail services, guided tours, exhibition venues, and commercial entertainment. According to IT Home, the November 6 release includes updates such as configuration-dependent body articulation, optional dexterous hands, and a battery rated at about 500 watt-hours.

The company’s specification materials distinguish between two configurations, offering either 30 or 31 body degrees of freedom. The 31-degree configuration provides two degrees to the head, 14 across the arms, three to the waist, and 12 across the legs. If the optional dexterous hands are included, the total can reach 47 degrees of freedom. AgiBot notes that these figures describe joint articulation rather than a measure of autonomous task success. The robot also features a peak knee-joint torque of 120 newton-meters.

To support various environments ranging from indoor shops to open tourism locations, the robot offers connectivity options including UWB, Wi-Fi, 4G or 5G, Bluetooth, and GPS, depending on the specific configuration. While the company identifies research, education, and data collection as possible uses, the accompanying product questions and answers put an important limit on the navigation claims. Versions without the higher-end autonomous-navigation package do not have the navigation and obstacle-avoidance capabilities of that package. Even robots equipped with that package are intended to operate only within defined conditions and configured sites where local maps and safety boundaries are checked.

Regarding power, the materials describe a battery life of about two hours under a walking test condition of 0.5 meters per second. While higher-end navigation configurations can return to a charging position at a configurable low-battery threshold, AgiBot states that charging and replenishment arrangements need to match the deployment. Consequently, the battery-capacity figure should not be read as a promise of an uninterrupted full working shift.

The refresh maintains the Lingxi X2 product identity rather than introducing a new robot family. Because the announcement does not provide a common task-completion benchmark, the listed scenarios are presented as intended uses rather than evidence that every configuration can autonomously perform all of them.
