The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Board of Revenue (BoR) mandated a special verification and audit of land records in Paharpur and Dera Ismail Khan on 29 October.
This investigation targets land transfers for properties registered to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and his brothers Maulana Lutafur Rehman, Attaur Rehman, and Ziaur Rehman. A formal letter instructed the district collector and Dera Ismail Khan deputy commissioner to perform a thorough review of mutation registers, ownership documents, and property transfers.
Scrutiny includes a hujra, a residential compound, and roughly 64 kanals of land situated in Abdul Khel. Approximately 88 kanals of agricultural land and 24 kanals of commercial land in Shorikot are also under review. The list of properties also features a commercial and residential site in urban Dera Ismail Khan measuring 18 kanals and 12 marlas.
District administration was told by the BoR to secure cadastral maps and original land records spanning 2002 to 2025. To prevent any further transfers of the investigated properties, officials must record a precautionary entry. Authorities were directed to initiate departmental inquiries into the conduct of revenue officials and issue notices to recover any unpaid government dues.
The BoR sent copies of the directive to the chief minister's principal secretary, the director general of the K-P National Accountability Bureau, and the chief commissioner of the Federal BoR’s Regional Tax Office in Dera Ismail Khan.
