Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed delivered the Friday sermon at the Faisal Mosque on 30 October.
The speaker asserted that the armed forces of Pakistan serve as a formidable pillar of strength for the Muslim world. Alahmed noted that the Faisal Mosque was a gift from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan. The International Islamic University Islamabad remains committed to advancing the noble aims and objectives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Alahmed stated.
He warned that the Muslim Ummah has never faced a fiercer enemy than it does now while facing deep divisions. Alahmed argued that no outside power can help Muslims unless they strengthen themselves with faith and a shared purpose. The sermon highlighted that Islam unites its followers through Kalima.
The speaker concluded by citing Hazrat Abdullah ibn Masud (RA), who said, "Hold fast to the Jamaah, for it is the rope of Allah. What you dislike in unity is better than what you like in division."
