The Capital Development Authority (CDA) recovered state land valued at approximately Rs1.3 trillion in Islamabad on 29 October.

CDA officials reclaimed roughly 600 acres of state property situated near the Prime Minister’s House. In Sector E-12, the authority secured 1,135 kanals of land. Workers demolished illegal commercial buildings constructed on 116.8 kanals of land within Sector C-17.

Five plazas located along Murree Road in Malpur have been vacated by the CDA. The agency is currently working to recover an additional 108 kanals of land in Malpur. Interior Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi directed the ongoing operations to clear the area.

Sohail Ashraf, the CDA Chairman, is leading the enforcement actions. The CDA stated the drive intends to safeguard government property and remove encroachments that hinder Islamabad’s organised urban development. The CDA said it is committed to making the capital free of encroachments and developing it as an organised, environmentally friendly city.

Residents have welcomed the recovery of public land and the prospect of stalled development projects resuming, according to the CDA.
