Chief Minister Sohail Afridi remains in protective custody as authorities collect evidence regarding allegations of corruption involving billions of rupees.
Bilour stated that recent remarks by Maulana Fazlur Rehman appeared to show political resentment and frustration over his exclusion from the decision-making process. The investigation into the tragedy at Dir Colony in Peshawar has reached completion, according to Bilour. Inspections have revealed that 4,049 educational institutions need rehabilitation and repairs.
The provincial police received eight modern armoured vehicles as part of recent equipment updates. Bilour said a comprehensive plan to enhance the operational capacity and infrastructure of the police would be ready within the next five to six weeks. Officials are currently examining internal irregularities within the Sehat Card programme.
Bilour clarified that there is no intention to abolish or discontinue the Sehat Card programme. The government will also review the professional competence of governing boards and the administrative affairs of Medical Teaching Institutions. To resolve sewage and traffic issues in Peshawar, land, green belts, and drainage channels must be eliminated.
A comprehensive plan for waste collection is also under development.
