The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory on Saturday, November 7, announcing various road diversions across the Islamabad Expressway, Srinagar Highway, and other major roads. The measures are being taken to facilitate the movement of cricket teams.

An ITP official told APP on Saturday that diversions will be imposed at different locations along the Srinagar Highway between Serena Chowk and Ninth Avenue. To navigate these changes, the official stated that motorists using the Srinagar Highway can use Suhrawardy Road, G-8 Service Road, G-9 Service Road, and Zero Point as alternative routes.

For specific directions, the official noted that traffic heading toward Faizabad can use Faisal Avenue, while those traveling toward Ninth Avenue should use Service Road East. Citizens traveling from Koral toward Islamabad are advised to use the old airport route, Rawal Road, Rawalpindi’s Murree Road, IJP Road, and Faqir Aipee Road. In the event of closures on the Koral Expressway, Murree Road, and Club Road, the official said motorists could use Lehtrar Road and Park Road as alternatives.

For those traveling out of Islamabad, the official advised using Jinnah Avenue and Margalla Road. Motorists coming from Bhara Kahu toward Islamabad were told they could travel through Bani Gala and Park Road.

The official warned that traffic congestion is expected on major roads during the diversions and urged citizens to plan their journeys accordingly. He stated that ITP personnel will be deployed at various locations to guide motorists and ensure smooth traffic movement.
