Mediapart authenticates antisemitic messages allegedly from Jordan Bardella in France

French investigative outlet Mediapart authenticated antisemitic messages allegedly sent by far-right politician Jordan Bardella in 2013. Mediapart published screenshots of these antisemitic messages, which were reportedly sent via Facebook's Messenger chat platform in 2013.
The publication further claimed that biographical details within the conversations prove the messages originated from the actual Jordan Bardella. Jordan Bardella, however, denied sending the messages, stating that he intends to sue for defamation and forgery.
When addressing the claims, Jordan Bardella denounced the messages as "crude fabrications, obscure and easily manipulated screenshots, repeating revolting remarks that I obviously never made." Edouard Philippe stated that the new evidence provided by Mediapart established that Bardella made remarks of an obviously and scandalously antisemitic nature.
Meanwhile, Marine Le Pen voiced her "total confidence" in Bardella and denounced what she termed a "total war" against her party.
