Bugti affirms quality healthcare remains top priority in Balochistan

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that providing quality healthcare constitutes a top government priority. Bugti, who was accompanied by National Party chief Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, visited the Civil Sandeman Provincial Hospital.
At the hospital, Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch, an MPA and former provincial health minister, underwent a successful angioplasty in the cardiology department. Mir Rahmat Saleh Baloch noted that the hospital's availability of quality healthcare saves people the hardship and extra cost of travelling to other cities for treatment.
The primary goal of current health-sector reforms, Bugti stated, is to lessen the requirement for residents to seek medical treatment outside the province. The government is working to equip major hospitals with specialized medical centres and facilities capable of treating complex illnesses locally.
Furthermore, efforts are underway to restore public trust in government hospitals and ensure citizens access timely, quality medical care within the province.
