ICC mandates penalties for excessive time wasting during cricket matches
The ICC issued a statement on Thursday confirming that batters may face a five-run penalty if they waste time three or more times during play. Furthermore, the governing body announced tighter regulations concerning the dimensions and mass of the cricket balls.
Warnings issued to players will reset either at the conclusion of an innings or after the completion of 80 overs. Additionally, the ICC confirmed that teams can mutually agree to trial pink balls during daytime tests.
