Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistan-India thanked Saudi support in the recent tension, while also reiterating its full support for the sovereignty and integrity of Saudi Arabia.
According to the statement, in the telephone contact the prime minister also sent his best wishes for Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The Prime Minister congratulated the Saudi Crown Prince on the successful Hajj arrangements and thanked the Saudi government for hosting the Pakistani pilgrims.
The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for Saudi support in the recent tension between Pakistan and India and reiterated his readiness for meaningful dialogue with India on all disputes. He stressed on important issues like Kashmir, water, trade and terrorism.
The prime minister also supported an immediate end to the Iran-Israel conflict and a negotiated solution and emphasized adherence to international law and the UN Charter.
The prime minister reiterated his full support for Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and integrity and commended the Saudi leadership’s efforts for regional peace.
The Saudi crown prince thanked Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for his solidarity and reiterated Saudi commitment to lasting peace in the Middle East, according to the statement.
The Saudi crown prince also appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in the peaceful resolution of the recent conflict.
