Anwar Ibrahim plans discussion with Myanmar leadership regarding repatriated nationals

Anwar Ibrahim plans to discuss the situation with President Min Aung Hlaing regarding Myanmar nationals who have been sent back to Myanmar since January, amounting to around 10,000 people. The country has been in a civil war since the 2021 coup.
UN data indicates that 193,000 refugees from Myanmar are currently present. Repatriation efforts have seen some individuals return via planes arranged by the Myanmar government.
Furthermore, 1,400 people returned by sea during the previous week. Ibrahim stated that Myanmar authorities assured no harm upon return.
He also asserted that Myanmar must bring home its citizens and treat them fairly.
