Zeiler likely leaves Warner Bros Discovery for Austrian politics

Gerhard Zeiler is likely to leave Warner Bros. Discovery for a career in Austrian politics. Zeiler previously held strategic oversight for Warner Bros. Discovery’s brands and managed direct-to-consumer operations across more than 220 international markets.
His responsibilities also included local theatrical production and acquisitions, alongside managing country and region-specific networks and businesses spanning Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. The executive was appointed president of WarnerMedia International in 2020.
Earlier, Zeiler joined Turner in 2012 when he became president of Turner International. Furthermore, he previously served as the CEO of RTL Group.
Under Zeiler's direction, RTL expanded its international presence, introducing popular competition shows such as Idols and Got Talent to the United States market. This growth saw RTL increase its holdings to 41 channels and 34 radio stations across ten countries.
