Jannik Sinner withdraws from 2026 season due to knee injury

Jannik Sinner confirmed he will not participate in the 2026 season after consulting with doctors regarding his knee condition. Sinner stated, "Me, together with the doctors, have decided that I need a course of treatment for my knee which means the 2026 season is officially over."
His team confirmed the decision to treat inflammation in his knee aims for recovery before 2027. The athlete missed several recent tournaments, including the North American hardcourt swing, the US Open, and Asian events.
Furthermore, Sinner will also miss the European indoor hardcourt swing and the ATP Finals in Turin. The 25-year-old athlete previously won Wimbledon against Alexander Zverev on 12 July 2026.
