Government mandates officers declare foreign nationality status within one week

The government will take action against officers who fail to declare their foreign nationality status. Officers are required to submit these declarations within a period of one week.
Muhammad Khurram Shehzad sent an office memorandum to ministries, divisions, provincial chief secretaries, and inspectors general of police. The memorandum stated that failure to submit the necessary declaration, or submitting a false declaration, counts as misconduct.
Furthermore, the document noted that an appointment might be declared void if facts were concealed during the initial appointment process. Previously, all civil servants were required to make a declaration within 90 days following the notification of rules.
The directive also confirmed that civil servants must submit declarations on three separate occasions.
