Apple is rolling out the watchOS 27.3 developer beta now, introducing new capabilities for Siri and the Health app.

Starting today, Siri can tune into the Apple Watch’s microphone using Audio Intelligence features.

The update includes Siri Recap, which uses “ambient listening” to generate summaries of a user's conversation. Users can also access Live Rewind, a feature that generates text transcripts of the last 15 seconds of audio detected by the watch's microphone. A double-press of the Digital Crown displays the previous 15 seconds of a conversation as a text snippet.

Apple said that users’ raw audio “is handled within dedicated hardware, is not saved as a file, and is not accessible to the operating system, apps, or Apple.”

Apple also stated, “If you use iCloud with two-factor authentication and have a device passcode, any Siri Recap summary or Live Rewind text snippet you choose to save syncs across your devices end-to-end encrypted in the Siri app.” The iOS 27.3 developer beta also includes a redesigned Health app for testing.

This redesigned app adds a For You section with personalized recommendations and health content such as educational videos and articles. It features a new Insights tab providing summaries for heart, sleep, fitness, and other data. Apple announced expanded language support for the update in global English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
