Plant IDs, operators’ names, contact numbers, and operating hours would be displayed at filtration and RO plants across Punjab. The CM ordered that all 5,734 water filtration plants be repaired and properly maintained, with additional plants to be installed where necessary.

The jurisdiction of the authority will be expanded to cover all districts and tehsils of Punjab. It was also decided that all trucks and plants of the authority would be monitored for efficiency and effectiveness.

The supply of safe drinking water through mobile bottling plants has already begun in remote areas, with operational bottling plants benefiting more than 2,400 families daily. The CM stated, 'The Safe Drinking Water Project is very close to my heart. Negligence or complacency will not be tolerated.'

She added that alongside development projects, the provision of clean drinking water to citizens remains her top priority.
