  • Gold price per tola drops by Rs4,600 in local market.
  • Silver price also decreases by Rs61 per tola.
  • International gold rate falls by $46 to $4,050 per ounce.

Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant decline on Friday, following the drop observed internationally. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold per tola fell by Rs4,600 to reach Rs427,436. This decrease was mirrored in the international market where the rate dropped by $46 to $4,050 per ounce with a premium of $20.

The local market saw further reductions on Friday; 10-gram gold was sold at Rs366,457 after it fell by Rs3,944. On Thursday, the price had already declined by Rs1,800 to reach Rs432,036 per tola. These fluctuations reflect the global trend in precious metals pricing.

The APGJSA reported that silver prices also saw a reduction of Rs61 per tola, bringing its rate down to Rs6,309. This decline in both gold and silver prices is likely to impact consumers and businesses dealing with these commodities, affecting their purchasing decisions and financial planning.

Market analysts suggest that the decrease in international gold prices could be attributed to various factors including economic indicators, geopolitical tensions, and investor sentiment. The local market often follows these global trends closely, making such fluctuations a common occurrence.

For consumers looking to purchase gold or silver, this reduction may offer an opportunity to buy at lower rates. However, the volatility in precious metals markets means that prices can change rapidly, so it is advisable to keep abreast of current rates and market conditions.

The APGJSA advises its members and the public to stay informed about these changes as they can significantly impact investment strategies and personal finances. The association continues to monitor global trends and local supply and demand factors to provide accurate information to its stakeholders.
