Among the top losers on the CSE All Share index were SMB Finance PLC and Kerner Haus Global Solutions PLC, which fell by 33.3% and 6.04%, respectively.

Trading volume saw a significant drop, reducing to 47.7 million shares from 117.1 million in the previous session.

The equity market's turnover also decreased substantially, falling to 1.41 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($4.2 million) from 4.35 billion rupees in the prior trading day.

Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading stocks worth 90.7 million rupees, while domestic investors purchased shares valued at 1.4 billion rupees, according to exchange data.

This trend of declining share prices continues for a third session, indicating ongoing market concerns or external factors affecting the Sri Lankan stock market.
