The District Health Authority (DHA) Rawalpindi reported one new confirmed dengue case on Wednesday, bringing the district's total tally of confirmed cases to 89. The latest case, reported on November 4, originated from Union Council CTR-13 in the Rawalpindi Cantonment area.

According to the daily epidemiological brief issued by the DHA, hospital disease surveillance data for the year shows that 6,540 total patients were screened. Of those, 6,006 were categorized as suspected cases and 445 were categorized as non-dengue. Currently, four patients remain admitted across allied hospitals, including two confirmed cases. The DHA stated that zero dengue-related fatalities have been recorded this year.

Monthly surveillance metrics indicate a declining trajectory following seasonal peak shifts. The DHA recorded 27 cases in September, 51 in October, and five cases in November to date.

To manage vector control, 1,400 field surveillance teams—consisting of 415 outdoor and 985 indoor teams—have inspected over 5.93 million houses and 2.04 million outdoor spots. These teams detected 243,382 larval sites.

District authorities have been enforcing municipal health regulations by registering 2,798 FIRs, sealing 686 non-compliant premises, and issuing 2,331 challans. These actions resulted in fines totaling over Rs 3.15 million for violations of dengue SOPs. Administrative oversight has been maintained through 38 District Emergency Response Committee (DERC) and 130 Tehsil Emergency Response Committee (TERC) meetings held this year.
