Two new confirmed dengue cases were reported in Rawalpindi district on October 5 and 6, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 42.
According to the latest data released by the District Health Authority, 10 confirmed patients remain admitted in hospital isolation wards.
Total hospital screenings increased by 67, from 5,094 to 5,161, while suspected cases rose by 63 to 4,762.
The number of hospital admissions fell slightly from 13 to 12, but the number of admitted confirmed dengue cases remained unchanged at 10.
No dengue-related deaths have been reported in the district in 2026.
The 12 infections recorded in October were found in high-risk areas including Chaklala Cantonment, Wah Cantt, Adyala, Fouji Colony, Pindora, Dhama Syedan, Qayumabad, Chah Sultan, Dhamyal, and CTR-II.
Vector surveillance teams continued field operations and detected 1,982 additional larva-positive sites over the two days.
High-risk zones with severe larval concentrations were identified in Chaklala Cantonment, Takhat Pari, and Rawalpindi Cantonment.
Punitive actions remained unchanged, including 2,798 FIRs, 686 sealed premises, 2,331 challans, and fines worth Rs 3.15 million.
