Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has announced that strict action has been taken against 791 police officers and personnel in Punjab over the past 13 days, as part of the government's ongoing anti-corruption drive.

According to Bokhari, 78 police personnel have been dismissed from service, while 60 have been suspended. Another 230 personnel have been sent to the line, 79 have been demoted and arrested, and inquiries are underway against 274 personnel.

Bokhari stated that the Chief Minister, Maryam Nawaz, has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, emphasizing that there is no room for corrupt elements in Punjab.

The minister's announcement comes as part of a broader effort to clean up the government and ensure transparency and accountability among public servants.
