Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar met with Irfan Davudov, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, on 28 October.
Ambassador Davudov was joined during the meeting by Samir Ahmadli and Ali Gahramanov. Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar stated that the relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan is robust at the government level and is deeply rooted in the shared religious, cultural, and historical ties of both peoples.
The ambassador thanked the Government of Pakistan for its ongoing support regarding the Karabakh issue. Tarar noted that the justice ministries of the two nations conducted three training workshops over the previous year.
The Federal Minister for Law and Justice also offered his congratulations to the Independent Group's leadership and its newly chosen representatives following their victory in the Supreme Court Bar Association elections. Tarar said the continued electoral success of the Independent Group reflects the confidence the legal fraternity has in the leadership of Ahsan Bhoon.
The Senator also paid tribute to the late Asma Jahangir.
