Heavy fines imposed on members who vandalized Punjab Assembly

Ten members of the Punjab Assembly have been fined for vandalism.
According to the notification, 10 members who broke the microphone in the assembly session were fined more than Rs 20 lakh.
The fined members include Javed Kausar, Asad Abbas, Muhammad Tanveer Aslam, Syed Rifat Mehmood, Muhammad Ismail, Shahbaz Ahmed, Imtiaz Mehmood, Khalid Zubair, Rana Aurangzeb and Muhammad Ahsan.
A fine of Rs 2 lakh 3550 has been imposed on each individual for damaging government property, the notification said.
According to the notification, the decision was taken on the basis of video evidence in the June 16 meeting and action will be taken against those members who do not pay the fine within seven days.
