Asia 6 Red Snooker Championship: Pakistan’s Asif qualifies for semi-finals

Mohammad Asif secured a medal in the semi-finals of the Asian 6 Red Championships
The journey of defending champion Owais Munir and former Asian champion Mohammad Sajjad ended in the pre-quarterfinals.
According to reports received from Colombo (Sri Lanka), on the third day of the championship, three-time world champion Mohammad Asif defeated Malaysian Kim Ko Leong 5-3 in a tough match to advance to the semifinals.
Earlier, in the pre-quarterfinals Mohammad Asif defeated Cambodia’s Nyang Tola 5-1 to guarantee a bronze medal.
Other Pakistani players dropped out of the event before the pre-quarterfinals.
Owais Munir was beaten 5-3 by Hong Kong’s Ming Wa Mann, and former world No. 2 Mohammad Sajjad was beaten 5-0 by Singapore’s Sunny Wang.
In the semi-finals on Wednesday, Mohammad Asif will face Malaysia’s Thor Chuan Leung.
