Iranian President thanks PM for Pakistan’s consistent and principled support during recent tensions
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his full support to Iran by telephone contact with Iranian President Masoud Pezishkian. The Iranian President thanked Pakistan for its continued support.
Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezishkian, where they discussed the current situation in the Middle East and the ceasefire.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said Pakistan is keeping a close eye on the rapidly changing situation in the Middle East. He stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to establish peace and reiterated Pakistan’s full support for Iran at all diplomatic forums, including the UN Security Council and the OIC.
The prime minister also appealed to all parties to abide by the principles of international law and the UN Charter.
Iranian President Masoud Pezishkian thanked Pakistan for its consistent and principled support during the recent tensions and appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in the peaceful resolution of the conflict.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of unity within the Muslim Ummah and staying in touch in difficult situations.
