Thunderstorms likely in large parts of the country, advisory issued
According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms are expected in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. The NDMA has issued an advisory in view of the weather situation.
Rain with strong winds is expected in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Northeast Punjab and Pothohar.
Monsoon monsoons are entering the central and upper reaches of the country and will intensify in the next few days.
Heavy rains and floods are expected in various cities from June 25 to July 1, especially in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad, Gujranwala, Bagh and Rawalakot.
Thunderstorms and rain are likely in many parts of Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The NDMA has warned the public to stay in safe places, keep vehicles under shades and exercise caution during the storm.
