The Government of Pakistan will host the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum 2026 (PMIF26) at the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad from 12 to 13 November 2026. Endorsed by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the forum features Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) as its founding partner.

Strategic partners for the event include PPL, Mari Energies, GHPL, Reko Diq Mining Company, PMPL, and the Frontier Works Organization (FWO). Wood Mackenzie will serve as the lead conference producer, while Milbank, White & Case, and Lazard act as knowledge partners.

Ahmed Hayat Lak, MD/CEO of OGDC and President of PMIF, said, "PMIF26 provides an important platform to connect Pakistan’s mineral potential with global investment, expertise and technology. Our country has a vast mineral resource base and a harmonised regulatory framework with investment-friendly policies. OGDC is already a joint venture partner in the Reko Diq project, and we want to expand our footprint in the minerals and mining sector through our cooperation with global partners. We look forward to welcoming policymakers and industry leaders from across the world to Islamabad to exchange ideas, build partnerships and explore new ventures." Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir are scheduled as key speakers.

Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik will deliver the welcome address at the forum. International speakers include John L. Thornton, Chairman of Barrick Mining Corporation, and Robert Friedland, Founder and Executive Co-Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines.

Patrick Barnes and Wael Jaber of Wood Mackenzie, Isabel Chatterton and Claire Alidenes of the Asian Development Bank, and Mustafa Aksoy, Chief Executive Officer of Çalık Group, will also speak. A technical conference will present more than 50 peer-reviewed technical papers.

The 2025 edition of the forum hosted 5,000 delegates and resulted in 16 memoranda of understanding and agreements across 18 panel discussions.
