The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported that its foreign exchange reserves increased by $39.5 million to $21,561 million during the week ended October 30, 2026. This marks the third consecutive weekly gain for the central bank.

The country's total liquid foreign reserves improved by $110.3 million to reach $26.9 billion as of October 30. This total figure is comprised of $21.6 billion held by the SBP and $5.3 billion in net reserves held by commercial banks.

Commercial bank reserves saw a jump of $70.8 million from $5.233 billion recorded a week earlier.

These gains follow a period where SBP Governor Jameel Ahmed stated the central bank expects reserves to reach $23 billion by December 2026 and $25 billion by June 2027.
