The Islamabad district administration has sealed more than 40 petrol nozzles and six petrol pumps following citywide inspections that revealed stations were providing drivers with less fuel than their meters indicated.
DC Islamabad announced that his teams conducted checks on petrol and diesel measurements across the capital. During these inspections, nozzles that delivered less than the prescribed quantity were sealed on the spot. Additionally, six pumps were shut down for the same offense.
Inspectors recovered electronic devices used to alter fuel measurements during the crackdown. Two petrol pumps were specifically sealed for using these devices, and staff at those locations were arrested.
The DC Islamabad has ordered inspections of all petrol pumps across the city to continue the crackdown. This follows previous campaigns where the capital sealed pumps over fuel fraud and fined dozens of Islamabad stations for nozzle tampering.
