The Mayor directed all departments to ensure quality construction, transparency, and timely completion of every scheme. KMC Director General Technical Services Tariq Mughal informed that tenders for civil works, including road rehabilitation, drainage improvement, water supply, and electrical infrastructure, have been completed in accordance with procurement rules. Work orders are expected to be issued shortly.
Financial Adviser KMC Gulzar Ali Abro mentioned that the programme covers major roads across all districts of Karachi, including Landhi, Korangi, Saddar, Central, Keamari, and other parts of the city. The development package also includes a large-scale street-lighting programme covering major corridors such as M.A. Jinnah Road, Shahrah-e-Liaquat, Shahrah-e-Ibn Sina, Sir Shah Suleman Road, Abul Hassan Isphani Road, Shahrah-e-Attar, Fatima Jinnah Road, SUPARCO Road, and other major thoroughfares.
