Lahore Qalandars have unveiled their squad for the upcoming 2026 Global Super League (GSL) and announced the appointment of former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait as the team’s new head coach. The announcement was made by Atif Rana, the owner and CEO of Lahore Qalandars, during a press conference held on Monday.

The squad includes a mix of international stars and emerging Pakistani talent, with Michael Bracewell named as captain. Other notable players include Farhan Yousaf, Abdullah Shafique, Shahab Khan, Muhammad Naeem, Mehran Mumtaz, Parvez Hossain Emon, Ali Shabbir, Usama Mir, Imran Randhawa, Shamyl Hussain, Delano Potgieter, and Shayan Jahangir. The team will be represented by Basit as well.

Atif Rana expressed his excitement about Tait’s appointment, stating that the former Australian pacer brings valuable international coaching experience and a winning mindset to the franchise. He added that the squad has been carefully assembled to combine youth with experience while providing promising players with exposure at the global level.

The 2026 Global Super League will feature five teams competing in 11 matches, all scheduled to take place at Providence Stadium in Guyana. Lahore Qalandars will open their campaign against Cricket Victoria on July 23 before facing Central Stags on July 24, Guyana Amazon Warriors on July 26, and Rangpur Riders on July 29.

This will be Lahore Qalandars’ second appearance in the tournament after participating in the inaugural edition in 2024, where they finished fourth. The Bangladesh Premier League champions, Rangpur Riders, won the first-ever GSL title that year.

The squad has been meticulously selected to ensure a balance between experienced players and emerging talent. Michael Bracewell’s leadership is expected to guide the team through the challenging matches ahead. With Tait at the helm, Lahore Qalandars are aiming for better results in this edition of the Global Super League.
