Ramon Vega intends to challenge Gianni Infantino for FIFA presidency

Ramon Vega intends to run in the FIFA presidential election against Gianni Infantino. Infantino is seeking re-election in March.
The Swiss Football Association withdrew its support for Infantino's bid for another term. Furthermore, England, Wales, France, and Serbia withdrew endorsements for Infantino.
Vega stated that his purpose is to serve football and the people who give the game its life. He also claimed that his aims include modernising FIFA, restoring stability, rebuilding trust, delivering lasting reform, and reuniting the global football family.
Vega represents the first candidate to publicly confirm his intention to challenge Infantino. Vega asserted that football belongs to the people, not presidents, confederations, or administrators.
UEFA pledged to present a rival candidate before the November deadline. In a separate move, Infantino wrote to FIFA's 211 member associations proposing an independent review of decision-making processes.
