The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) arrested 36 suspects during raids conducted on illegal call centers in Lahore, specifically within Faisal Town and Johar Town. Investigators seized various items, including computers, laptops, and mobile phones that contained software and data.

The agency spokesperson stated that the suspects allegedly used dial-up software to target individuals located overseas. Furthermore, vehicles suspected of having been bought with criminal earnings were taken into custody during the operation.

Information gathered from the initial raid guided investigators to a second call center location. The second operation proceeded despite encountering resistance from security personnel.

The NCCIA confirmed that digital evidence was seized and subsequently sealed following the raids. These Lahore raids followed a prior operation conducted in Rawalpindi last week.

At an alleged illegal call center in Satellite Town’s commercial market, 61 people were arrested. Suspects at that location were accused of extracting money from foreign citizens by making threats under the guise of loan recovery.

During the Rawalpindi raid, authorities seized 71 mobile phones and 155 laptops. It remains noted that allegations against the arrested suspects have not been established in court.
