The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) confirmed that filing a second review petition on the same subject matter is prohibited following a final decision on the initial review petition. Furthermore, the Commission stated that a request styled as 'recall' or 'restoration' cannot be used to seek reconsideration of a judicial decision.

Justice Syed Hasan Azhar Rizvi gave the order concerning a Civil Miscellaneous Appeal No. 37/2026, which was filed by the Managing Director of the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL). The court upheld the Registrar's objection, which dated 3 July 2026.

Consequently, the court dismissed the appeal. Procedurally, Order 27, Rule 8 of the Supreme Court Rules, 2025, dictates that a second review petition cannot be entertained after the first review petition receives final disposal.

Moreover, Order 10, Rule 2 restricts altering or adding to a judgment pronounced in open court only to correcting clerical or arithmetical mistakes or an accidental slip or omission.
