Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari inaugurated the expansion of the Dr Kaikhusrow Nanabhoy Spencer's Eye Hospital in Karachi. The facility was developed as a public-private project to upgrade the medical infrastructure.

Established in 1938, the hospital began its operations in 1940. Solar power now fuels the upgraded hospital, which features a newly functional operation theatre.

Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Karachi Mayor, stated that the facility is equipped with modern amenities and offers free medical examinations and outpatient department services under the public-private partnership. Discounted rates are available for spectacles and medicines at the hospital.

Bhutto-Zardari noted that healthcare is a sector where people constantly need assistance, especially as citizens face mounting economic difficulties. The Chairman said the Sindh government and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation are working to ease the financial burden on the public.

Bhutto-Zardari also stated that the party and the Sindh Assembly have repeatedly made their position clear against the division of Sindh. The death toll for Mpox in Sindh has reached 12 this year.
