The Pakistan Army destroyed Afghan Taliban check posts in South Waziristan following a series of attacks on civilian areas. One civilian died and five members of a single family were injured in Angoor Adda after the Afghan Taliban regime fired unprovoked on houses and the local bazaar.
Many shops in Angoor Adda sustained damage during the shelling. Information Adviser Samar Haroon Bilour said, "in the Angoor Adda area of South Waziristan, the Afghan Taliban regime, showing stubbornness, targeted the civilian population."
Bilour further stated that "the cowardly attack by the Afghan Taliban regime resulted in a shell landing on a house in the civilian population, wounding five members of the same family and one civilian attaining martyrdom." Pakistan killed 37 terrorists on 21 September.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting stated that precision strikes destroyed three targets and killed 28 terrorists and several suicide bombers. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar confirmed that Pakistan conducted precision aerial and drone strikes against 10 locations in Afghanistan on 24 September.
Hostilities between Pakistan and Afghanistan began in October 2025, following the launch of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq around the end of February. A week-long ceasefire was agreed upon by both nations on 18 March.
Pakistan presented three core demands to the Afghan Taliban in Urumqi, China, in April.
