A delegation of approximately 30 Pakistani technology leaders, founders, and innovators participated in Oslo Innovation Week 2026 in Norway.

The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) organised the visit to establish new pathways for the country's IT industry into the Nordic market. Delegates engaged with policymakers, enterprise leaders, startups, and investors within Norway's innovation ecosystem. The event hosted more than 100 specialized sessions.

P@SHA representatives met with counterparts in rapidly developing fields, including deep tech, clean tech, health tech, the blue economy, and artificial intelligence. A bilateral business networking session took place at the Storting, which is the Parliament of Norway. Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan said the visit was a deliberate step under the association’s Strategy 2031.

Khan claimed that Nordic countries lead the world in deep technology, sustainability, and digital transformation, while valuing trust and long-term partnerships.

Khan said, "By connecting our software houses directly with Norwegian enterprises and investors, we are moving beyond hourly outsourcing toward high-value partnerships in AI, fintech and green technology." The response received in Oslo reflects the strength of Pakistan’s engineering talent, Dr. Khan said.

P@SHA stated that the mission supports two of its three strategic objectives: Export Expansion and Ecosystem and Talent. The mission builds on Global Market Access, which P@SHA says calls for tailoring outreach to each region, building a strong Pakistani technology brand, and diversifying IT exports beyond traditional markets. Pakistan signed its first carbon trading agreement with Norway earlier this year.
