South Air has officially launched its domestic flight operations in Pakistan on July 16, marking a significant step towards enhancing air connectivity within the country. The new private airline aims to strengthen regional development by providing passengers with high-quality and reliable travel services.

In its initial phase, South Air will operate regular flights between Karachi, Islamabad, and Bahawalpur. Additionally, it has introduced new scheduled services from Karachi to Gwadar, Sukkur, and Rahim Yar Khan. The airline is launching its services with modern ATR 72-600 aircraft, known for their fuel efficiency and compliance with international safety standards. To promote collaboration in the tourism and hospitality sectors, South Air has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dream World Destination Hotels and Golf Course. This partnership will facilitate joint travel packages, special discount offers, and the promotion of tourism-related activities.

South Air’s entry into Pakistan's aviation market is seen as encouraging healthy competition in the sector. Aviation experts believe that this new airline will improve regional air connectivity and have a positive impact on trade, investment, tourism, and the national economy.

The airline has urged passengers to stay connected with its official channels for flight schedules, fares, and booking details. South Air’s launch is expected to provide an alternative to existing airlines and potentially reduce travel costs while enhancing service quality.

In a statement, Fatima highlighted the broader implications of South Air's establishment: 'The establishment of South Air is not merely the addition of a new airline but a national effort to further strengthen Pakistan’s air connectivity.'
