The visit comes after a recent official visit by Commander of the Turkish Land Forces, General Metin Tokel, who called on Pakistan's military leadership during an official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.

In a previous meeting with Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Munir at GHQ in Rawalpindi, discussions had focused on matters of mutual professional interest, evolving regional security dynamics, and avenues to further enhance bilateral defence cooperation between the two countries. The army chief highlighted the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and strategic ties between Pakistan and Turkey and appreciated ongoing defence collaboration.

At Air Headquarters in Islamabad, Field Marshal Munir met with Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu.
