Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first in the ODI tri-series final against Sri Lanka on 31 October.
The final match is being held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The Pakistan Cricket Board ruled out Shadab Khan of the final for medical reasons after he was hit by a bouncer during the fifth ODI against Sri Lanka. Faheem Ashraf replaced the injured player in the lineup.
Shaheen Afridi said, "Shadab is not feeling well so we have brought in Faheem in his place. We are going with four pacers. We opted to field first as we had in mind that Sri Lanka batted second in the last four games." Sri Lanka dropped Eshan Malinga from their squad and included Maheesh Theekshana instead.
This marks the first time Sri Lanka has lost the toss during this series. Pakistan suffered an eight-wicket loss to Sri Lanka in their previous encounter. England defeated Sri Lanka in their final league game.
The Pakistan squad includes Fakhar Zaman, Maaz Sadaqat, Babar Azam, Saad Baig, Salman Agha, Hasan Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Arafat Minhas, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah. Sri Lanka's lineup features Kamindu Mendis, Avishka Fernando, Kusal Mendis, Pavan Rathnayake, Dasun Shanaka, Janith Liyanage, Sahan Arachchige, Dunith Wellalage, Maheesh Theekshana, Asitha Fernando, and Dilshan Madushanka.
