The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has introduced a new ticketing hub, a centralised digital platform designed to expedite and standardise the handling of investor queries and requests. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the facilitation of investments in Pakistan.
According to a statement, the ticketing hub provides a structured digital channel for investors to raise queries, submit requests, and track their progress. This system supports systematic processing and follow-up, ensuring that investor concerns are appropriately communicated and followed up through the relevant channels.
Jamil Qureshi, Secretary of SIFC, informed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Division that the SIFC has developed an investment pipeline worth approximately $40 billion across key sectors, including industry, oil and gas, railways, roads, power, telecom, IT, pharmaceuticals, tourism, and agriculture.
The committee, however, expressed concerns about the feasibility of achieving an export target of $60 billion by 2030, citing high input costs, including gas and electricity prices, tight monetary policy, and high taxation.
In response, SIFC has been directed by the prime minister to actively pursue stalled and delayed projects involving the UAE and other countries. This directive aims to enhance coordination and facilitation to bring these projects to a stage of implementation.
The launch of the ticketing hub is expected to strengthen case tracking, improve visibility of request status, and support more responsive follow-up. It also provides a convenient mechanism for investors to remain informed about the progress of their submitted requests.
By centralising investor requests and queries, the SIFC hopes to ensure that all stakeholders are better informed and that the facilitation process is more efficient and transparent.
The platform supports systematic processing and follow-up, enabling requests to be monitored from initiation through subsequent stages of engagement. This is intended to ensure that investor concerns are appropriately communicated and followed up through the relevant channels.
